In May, Suceava transformed into a true cultural center, hosting the prestigious International Festival "Matei Vișniec Theater Days". This event brought together numerous theater groups, writers, directors, and theater enthusiasts, creating a vibrant and inspiring environment.

With the aim of promoting culture and education, the ASSIST Humanitarian Foundation passionately got involved in organizing this popular festival. As evidence of our commitment to the development of the local community, we provided a sponsorship of approximately 10,000 lei. We are proud to contribute to the support and promotion of cultural events that bring joy and inspiration to the wider audience.

Matei Vișniec  Theater, named in honor of the illustrious playwright, is a beacon of excellence in the Romanian theater landscape. Located in Suceava, this theater aims to promote and support contemporary creation, presenting plays written by Matei Vișniec and other prestigious scriptwriters in the field.

The event is dedicated to the renowned Romanian playwright Matei Vișniec and represents an opportunity to highlight his important contributions to contemporary theater.

Theater has the power to convey messages that touch the soul of each and every one of us, managing to bring people together and create solidarity. It is no coincidence that the main theme of this year's festival is "Peace". Through the festival held by Matei Vișniec and his distinguished guests, we aim to send a strong signal of unity, happiness, and solidarity!

"Matei Vișniec  Theater Days" represents an extraordinary opportunity for theater lovers to enjoy remarkable performances, workshops, debates, and meetings with the artists involved in this festival. The event is a tribute to the genius of Matei Vișniec and, at the same time, an opportunity to explore his captivating theatrical universe.

Over the course of 11 days, from May 18th to May 28th, a true cultural marathon took place, including 27 performances in 21 locations, 9 concerts, 7 exhibitions, 7 book launches, 5 conferences, and 3 workshops. This display of emotion and magic was a true celebration of culture in all its forms.

We hope that this festival brought joy and inspiration to all participants and that it will remain a cultural  tradition of note in the years to come. We are committed to continuing to support and promote cultural events in the county, contributing to the development and flourishing of our community.
