What does generosity sound like? Every year, Suceava hears it at Autumn Symphonies (Simfonii de Toamnă). The 12th edition of this open-air classical concert brings together the city's residents, music lovers, and community members for an evening that combines live performance with the chance to make a difference locally. The event organized by Rotary Club Suceava-Bucovina has easily made its way into Suceava's cultural agenda. Fundația Umanitară ASSIST is proud to be the main partner of this edition and invest in the cultural development of Suceava.

A reference event in Suceava

Year by year, the Suceava city center becomes a stage for classical and symphonic music. Each edition gives the public access to music rarely experienced at this scale in Suceava. This edition's artistic lineup is particularly impressive. The audience will enjoy performances by:

  • Soprano Irina Baiant, known for her brilliant interpretations of opera and musical theatre;
  • Tenors Andrei Apreotesei, Florin Guzgă, and Andrei Fermeșanu, each bringing their distinct artistry and international experience.
  • The Orchestra of the Iași National Opera, conducted by Andrei Tudor, will lead the ensemble through a repertoire that merges classical and symphonic heritage.

A team of over 30 technicians handles the sound, lighting, and stage production. Even outdoors, the experience is polished, with sound and lights designed to reach every audience member.

Connecting culture and community

What makes Autumn Symphonies unique is that it has a double focus on artistic performance and civic outreach. Apart from delivering a concert of international standards, the event also raises resources for charitable causes. The fundraising component shows the potential for cultural events to provide substantial benefits for the wider community. Thus, the concert is a point of transforming an artistic project into a larger social objective.

Recognizing local excellence

A highlight of the evening is the Excellence in Education Award, which will go to a teacher from Suceava who has had a meaningful impact on the local community. This is the fourth consecutive year that Fundația Umanitară ASSIST will present this award in front of the entire community. This has already become a tradition of highlighting the people who are shaping the future by training the next generations of specialists.

For Fundația Umanitară ASSIST, Autumn Symphonies is an opportunity to support charity projects, promote local culture, and unite people around the same emotions.

If this type of event speaks to you and you wish to contribute to the development of the Suceava community, we warmly look forward to seeing you there.
