Fundația Umanitară ASSIST volunteers enjoyed lots of smiles and interactive activities at the "Rhythm and Improvisation for a Healthy Life" event on the 17th of September. Together with Edu Max and Generația TehnoWorld, we brought joy to 122 children at the “Arta” Multifunctional Cultural Center from Ițcani. For three hours, children, parents, and volunteers were involved in creative workshops, and rhythm, improvisation, and percussion activities. The host of the event was the well-known actor Orlando Petriceanu, who led the activities and kept the participants entertained.

We brought education through music and play

The 122 children that were invited to the event were all children in need from throughout Suceava county as well as from Ukraine. These children face challenging circumstances, either coming from disadvantaged communities, from poor families or living in difficult household situations. Fundația Umanitară ASSIST, together with the other event organizers and partners, aimed to bring them joy through an event that combined education, play, and art. The workshops were designed to develop the creative side of children and give them the opportunity to interact with each other and have fun. The smiles, laughter, and good cheer clearly proved that the event had achieved its mission!

Fundația Umanitară ASSIST and Edu Max prepared a surprise for the children at the end of the event. After 3 hours of fun and interactive activities, we gave each child a backpack full of school supplies. This way, these children from disadvantaged families will have everything they need for school when the new semester begins.
