Receiving international recognition for our humanitarian efforts brings us immense joy and validates our belief that choosing to support local communities brings positive change. Let us alter cultural and social perspectives for the better!
The ASSIST Humanitarian Foundation (Fundația Umanitară ASSIST) and its volunteers have been bestowed with an Appreciation Certificate signed by Shekhar Mehta, President of Rotary International. Such an honor humbles us and encourages us to dream to do more.
The Rotary family is made up of approximately 1.4 million passionate individuals. With 46,000+ clubs worldwide, they aim for change on a global scale and as well as to be community leaders. Rotary members lead change in their backyards first, offering support to a wide range of individuals, groups, and causes.
In Suceava, Fundatia Umanitară ASSIST and the Rotary Club Suceava Bucovina have worked on various projects together because of our convergent views on charity and partnership.
At the height of the Covid-19 pandemic in Suceava, we took on the challenge of donating a Draeger Savina 300 ventilator device and other urgently needed medical equipment for the intensive care unit of the Suceava County Hospital.
In his Letter of Appreciation, the President of Rotary Club Suceava Bucovina – Andrei Puiu also mentioned our foundation's efforts to provide humanitarian help to refugees from Ukraine and continued by congratulating us on our initiatives to support education, the fight against disease, and environmental protection.
We are beyond thankful to The Rotary Foundation and would like to extend our appreciation to the people of Suceava, who understand that volunteering can improve lives and reshape group dynamics. We couldn't have done anything without the trust and care of our supporters, volunteers, and donors. There are not enough words to express how important every donation is and how much we can do even with the smallest funds.
