Considering the global challenge, we face today as states where the rule of law is one of the defining values, we are compelled to remain calm and bring solace to those in need.

Fundația Umanitară ASSIST thoroughly understands that thousands of refugees need a plethora of essential supplies such as food, warm clothes, medicine, baby care items. Moreover, they need accommodation and transportation, but, most of all, they need to see hope and kindness.

I was impressed by how the impossible becomes possible when everybody shows empathy and wants to help.”

With the help of our volunteers and supporters, Fundația Umanitară ASSIST has given over 20 packages full of clothes, bedding, sanitary products, and sweets to the refugee shop open at Stefan cel Mare University’s Astronomic Observatory.

The shop offers help and donations to over 70 families daily.

Ukrainian refugees who need help can choose up to 10 products per day for free. The only requirement is to have an ID proving their Ukrainian place of residence.

You are also invited to donate.

Fundația Umanitară ASSIST wants to underline the importance of education for any community.

Thanks to you, our volunteers reached Iulia. She is living in the Ilisești refugee center. Even if a complicated operation has left her with a handicap, she wants to continue learning. We were taught a story about perseverance

Volunteers have helped her by organizing a learning space for her where she can learn English and Romanian.

We visited her and brought medication and two English study books that she was missing.

30.03.2022

Fundația Umanitară ASSIST visited a refugee center in Suceava. We found approximately 80 people (mothers and babies) who needed our help there.

We bought what they needed: baby food, diapers, and still water.

22.03.2022

Fundatia Umanitara ASSIST met with 26 people who are momentarily living inside a company headquarters. The building turned refugee center had been a place for families transiting #Romania. Yet, the situation changed when more and more families said they would like to remain in Suceava at least temporarily.

What we received in return was far more meaningful. We saw colorful drawings and thank you messages.

18.03.2022

Thus, we went to the village of Ilișești where an after-school was transformed into a center for refugees. We aided the center with food supplies (canned foods, fruits, cereal and dairy), bedding, sanitary products and a freezer

15.03.2022

Fundația Umanitară ASSIST partnered up with Asociația Donează - Gura Humorului, yesterday. We visited the refugee center from Mănăstirea Humorului, where an entire community tries to help Ukrainian mothers and their children.

The Mănăstirea Humorului center was a transit point for well over 3,000 refugees in their efforts to reach certain cities from Romania or abroad. The center hosted 315 people

Since most of the refugees at this location are children, we immediately understood the importance of having a clean space. Therefore, we donated an array of cleaning products that were much needed.

14.03.2022

Fundația Umanitară ASSIST visited the Refugee Center in Cândești, a locality just 15 kilometers (9,3 miles) away from the Siret border point.

The Refugee Center was improvised in the locality’s Cultural Center and can fit up to 60 people. Firefighters and border personnel redirected refugees to Cândești as an alternative to waiting for transportation in heated tents. Most of the refugees coming were in transit to other destinations.

Due to this, the Refugee Center needed cleaning products and bed linen to ensure that all refugees have clean sheets and a sanitary environment

7.03.2022

One of the restaurants from Suceava that host refugees asked us for help. The ASSIST Humanitarian Foundation volunteers went to the restaurant. We brought the products requested: bottled water and other essential items

6.03.2022

Fundația Umanitară ASSIST bought and delivered 5 heaters to the Siret Customs to equip the unheated tents where refugees were waiting for accomodation or transportation to be provided to them.

5.03.2022

Fundația Umanitară ASSIST launched a platform to facilitate the gathering of donations for Ukranian refugees. Now it's easier for you to support us.

Donations can be made online, through debit or credit or PayPal

Our community is already growing. Stand with us for a better society through peace, education, culture, and science.

4.03.2022

ASSIST Humanitarian Foundation's volunteers bring the most exceptional causes to our attention. A company from Suceava has transformed its headquarters into a refugee center. Among the 54 people who live there now, there are a lot of children ages ranging from 6 months to 10 years.

We decided to help. Therefore, we bought diapers, baby food, sanitary products, fruits, and other supplies for the mothers and children there.

2.03.2022

Our volunteers have been with refugees from Ukraine in the few past days, providing support from the earliest days when our neighbors began to cross the border.

We joined the massive efforts of the community, going to Siret Customs and the refugee shelter in Milișăuți. We've contributed food and hygiene products, water, sleeping bags, blankets, other essential items, cross-country transportation for families with children, and accommodation for refugees.
